I want to know you, but for that to happen you have to know me.
In 2018, I graduated from Covenant College with a BA in Music Theory & Composition. While there, I also took violin lessons and performed with the Covenant College Orchestra and smaller ensembles.
I am a classically trained Suzuki violinist, and experienced music educator. I have taught private lessons to children and adults in a variety of contexts for several years, but I am always learning. Whether in private lessons, group classes, or performances, I try to learn something from each student and experience I encounter.
My job is to make sure my students learn in the way that is best for them, so I try to make sure I have the knowledge to make that happen.
In addition to lessons, I also have experience working with nonprofits and El Sistema music programs. For the past several years, I have served as the Director of Operations and Lead Violin Teacher for East Lake Expression Engine in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
As a composer, I have created arrangements for student ensembles, and educational materials for my classes. I really enjoy writing string arrangements and transcribing pieces for my students. If composition is something you find fascinating, I would love to help you delve into that area and explore new ways of pursuing it.
